Supporting Bereaved Families with Compassion, Community, and Care
At OneFamily, we are devoted to the healing of those left behind. For the thousands of Israeli families who have lost loved ones to terrorism or war, grief is not a moment — it is a lifelong journey. We are there to walk that path with them, hand in hand.
We offer personalized, comprehensive support to widows and widowers, bereaved parents, orphans, siblings, and grandparents — each with their own needs, each with their own pain. Our dedicated coordinators ensure that every family member receives the emotional, therapeutic, financial, and practical support they need to carry on — not alone, but as part of a caring national family.
Our services for the bereaved include:
- Therapeutic retreats that offer solace, connection, and healing in safe, supportive environments
- Ongoing therapy — including individual, couples, and family counseling
- Bi-monthly support groups that create trusted spaces for processing grief and finding shared strength
- Specialized clubs and workshops, such as hydrotherapy, creative writing, psychodrama, art therapy, sand therapy, and photo therapy
- Alternative treatments for trauma, including EMDR and stellate ganglion block procedures for PTSD
- Day trips and social gatherings that gently restore joy, purpose, and community
- Financial assistance to help cover essential needs like rent, food, utilities, and clothing when grief makes stability harder to maintain
- Assistance with navigating government bureaucracy, helping families file paperwork and secure the benefits they are entitled to
- Home visits and regular phone calls from our trained staff to ensure that no bereaved family feels forgotten or alone
- Personalized support for memorial observances, including cemetery visits and assistance on yahrzeits and Yom Hazikaron
Every year, we host Israel’s largest Yom HaZikaron ceremony outside of the official state event, bringing together bereaved families from across the country to honor their loved ones — and to lean on one another in solidarity and strength.
At OneFamily, grief is never met with silence. It is met with action, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to rebuilding lives with dignity, one day at a time.
