Operation Rising Lion Relief Effort

Operation Rising Lion Relief Effort

Israel is Under Attack. We Must Come Together — As OneFamily.

On June 13, 2025, Israel launched Operation Rising Lion, a direct strike on Iranian military and nuclear targets. In response, Iran fired hundreds of missiles and drones at Israeli cities.
Twenty-four civilians were killed. More than 650 people were injured. Thousands are displaced, traumatized, and afraid.
This isn’t just a military escalation. It’s a national trauma.

OneFamily is Israel’s Emotional Iron Dome

Since 2001, OneFamily has been there for victims of terror—not just in the moment of crisis, but for the long road that follows.

We provide personalized emotional, financial, and legal support to those whose lives have been shattered. And we do it in the most human way possible: by showing up, listening, and staying for the long haul.

In this latest emergency, we moved fast—because we’re already here. Our staff and volunteers are on the ground, attending funerals, sitting in hospital rooms, visiting shiva homes, and delivering care where it’s needed most.

Our Emergency Response Is Already Underway

  • Visiting the wounded in hospitals
  • Sitting with families who just lost a loved one
  • Providing immediate financial support to victims in crisis
  • Making hundreds of phone calls to widows, bereaved parents, and siblings
  • Delivering trauma therapy, grief counseling, and long-term case management

  • Assembling and distributing 1,000 “Hug Kits” for children in shelters

  • Hosting Zoom gatherings for emotional support, parenting guidance, self-defense, and healing

  • Supporting injured soldiers and combat returnees with tailored services

We’ve already made over 700 personal support calls.
And every hour, more names are added to the list.

The HugMobile:
A Human Touch in a Time of Crisis

In one of our most personal initiatives, trained counselors from OneFamily’s bereaved youth division are traveling across the country to visit siblings and orphans who have been affected—some for the first time, others for the second.
This mobile unit, which we call the HugMobile, is meeting teens where they are, delivering more than just activity kits. These visits bring comfort, stability, and connection from familiar faces they trust.

When fear is in the air and the world feels unsafe, a simple hug from someone who remembers you can change everything.

What Makes OneFamily Different

There are many organizations helping in times of war. OneFamily is different.

We don’t just respond to trauma. We walk with families through it—for years, even decades.

We don’t send generic aid. We build individualized healing plans—because no two people experience grief the same way.

We don’t treat people like numbers. We know their names, their stories, their children.

We build community among victims and survivors, creating peer groups where real healing can happen.

And we don’t leave—when the news cycle moves on, we’re still there.

That’s why we’ve been doing this work for over 20 years—and why we’re uniquely equipped to meet this moment.

From a Survivor

“The HugMobile showed up at our house the day after the attack. My little brother was quiet all morning. Then he saw one of the counselors he remembered from a OneFamily retreat—and ran straight into her arms. That hug changed everything.”
